1. Indian Economic Service: 30 Posts
2. Indian Statistical Service: 36 Posts
Qualifications: A candidate for the Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Post-graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/ Econometrics and a candidate for the Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or a foreign university approved by the Central Govt. from time to time.
Age Limits: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2013.
Fee: Rs. 200/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur / State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card. All female candidates and candidates belonging SC /ST and physically disabled candidates are not required to pay any fee.
Scheme of Examination: The examination shall be conducted according to the following Plan:
Part I: Written examination carrying a maximum of 1000 marks in the subjects as shown below.
A. Indian Economic Service:
Subject: General English, Maximum marks: 100 & Time allowed: 3 hours
Subject: General Studies, Maximum marks: 100 & Time allowed: 3 hours
Subject: General Economics-I, Maximum marks: 200 & Time allowed: 3 hours
Subject: General Economics-II, Maximum marks: 200 & Time allowed: 3 hours
Subject: General Economics-III, Maximum marks: 200 & Time allowed: 3 hours
Subject: Indian Economics, Maximum marks: 200 & Time allowed: 3 hours
B. Indian Statistical Service:
Subject: General English, Maximum marks: 100 & Time allowed: 3 hours
Subject: General Studies, Maximum marks: 200 & Time allowed: 3 hours
Subject: Statistics-I, Maximum marks: 100 & Time allowed: 3 hours
Subject: Statistics-II, Maximum marks: 200 & Time allowed: 3 hours
Subject: Statistics-III, Maximum marks: 200 & Time allowed: 3 hours
Subject: Statistics-IV, Maximum marks: 200 & Time allowed: 3 hours
Subject: Indian Economics, Maximum marks: 200 & Time allowed: 3 hours
Part II: Viva woe of such candidates as may be called by the Commission, carrying a maximum of 200 marks.
