 Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold a competitive ARS/NET Examination – 2011 as per the following scheme where two separate examinations will be held as ( I) Prelim – ARS / NET Examination – 2011 and (II) ARS – Main Examination – 2011. Both the aforesaid examinations will be conducted on 12.02.2012.

• Scientists: 303 Posts, Pay scale: Rs. 15,600-39100/-

Eligibility:

• For ARS/ NET Examination: Candidate must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned subject with a specialization in different subjects as mentioned as on August 1, 2011
• For ARS-Main Examination: Candidate must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned subject against each discipline, from any Indian University estd. By an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed university  under Section 3 of University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or he/ she must have qualification from a foreign University recognized as equivalent by the Govt. of India
• The candidates having Master’s degree from foreign University must attach a certificate of equivalence and recognition of that degree issued by the University Grants Commission/ Govt of India on August 1, 2011

Selection process: Candidates declared successful in ARS-Examination and Viva-voice will be recommended for the appointment as Scientists in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Application Fee: Candidates intrested in ARS/ NET Examination must pay to the Board a fee of Rs 1000/- Through Crossed Bank Draft only, valid for six months from the date of issue, drawn in favour of Secretary, A.S.R.B and payable at New Delhi with application form.All women candidate and those belonging to SC/ST/ physically disabled are exempted from the fee payment.
