The State Government established a Directorate of Computers, headed by an officer from the Indian Administrative Services cadre, with objectives ranging from formulating the policies & creating awareness to provide technical consultancy to the State Government Departments for computerization. A separate cadre comprising computer professionals System Analysts, Analyst-cum-Programmers, Programmers, Computer Operators and Data Entry Operators was specially created to implement computerization projects.

Eligibility:

• Graduate in Computer Science / Computer Applications or Electronics of a University established by law in India.
• Post Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Application or 3 years Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering from a Polytechnic institution recognised by the government.
• Graduate of a University established by law in India with Diploma in Computer Science/
• Computer Applications of a University established by law in India or of an Institution recognized by the Government.
• Graduate of a University established by law in India with "O" or Higher Level Certificate course conducted by DOEACC under the control of Department of Electronics, Government of India.
• Graduate of a University established by law in India with Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA) / Data preparation and Computer Software (DPCS) Certificate Organised under National / State Council of Vocational Training Scheme
• Speed of 8000 key depression per Hour on Computer in Hindi & English.

 Age:  21-35 years as on January 1, 2012
