Applications are invited by the Commission for the below mentioned posts. The last date for receipt of applications in the office of the Commission is 03.03.2011.

2. Incomplete applications in any manner are liable to be rejected summarily by the Commission.
3. “The upper age limit shown against each post is relaxable upto 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST, upto 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC, upto 5 years (total 10 years for SC/ST & 8 years for OBC in respect of posts reserved for them) to blind, deaf-mute and orthopedically handicapped person and upto 5 years for CFF. Age is also relaxable for Government Servants upto 5 years as per the instructions issued by the Government from time to time”.
4. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani, this requirement may be relaxed in case of below mentioned posts.
5. The Commission will draw a panel of candidates, which will remain valid for a period of one year.
6. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview.
I. PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT, SECRETARIAT
1. Junior Scale Officer of Goa Civil Service ….. 9 posts
(4 resvd. for ST, 2 resvd for OBC, 2 resvd for PH and 1 resvd for CFF)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/-
Age: Not exceeding 40 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:- Essential: (i) Degree of a recognised University
(ii) Knowledge of Konkani
Desirable: i) Knowledge of Marathi.
Note: The eligible applicants will be subjected to a competitive examination. The syllabus is published in Official Gazette Series I. No. 12 dated 20.06.2002. The written examination consist of 250 marks the details
of which are as follows :
Paper-I English 100 marks ( 3 hours duration)
Paper-II General Studies
Part-I Descriptive 60 marks (1 ½ hours duration)
Part-II Objective 90 marks (1 ½ hours duration)
Only eligible candidates will be admitted to the competitive written examination. The written examination will be followed by an Oral Interview, details there about will be provided in the interview call letter. The number of candidates to be called for interview will be restricted to maximum 1:5 which will be in the order of merit based on the performance in the competitive written examination. The final selection will be in order of merit based on the combined marks secured by the candidate interviewed in the competitive written examination and oral examination.
