Applications are invited in prescribed form from the citizens of India for filling up 23 (twenty three) posts of Assistant Professor in different subjects as per details given below for the Govt. Colleges of Arunachal Pradesh in the Pay Band3 of Rs.15,600Rs. 39,100 with AGP of Rs.6,000/per month plus other allowances as admissible to Arunachal Pradesh Govt. employees from time to time.

Selection Procedure : Interview/ Vivavoce test
Eligibility:Master’s Degree in concerned subject with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade with good academic records. However, there is a relaxation of 5% marks i.e from 55% to 50% at Master’s Degree level for the ST/SC candidates and relaxation of 5% (55% to 50%) for the Physically Handicapped candidates.
Essential Qualification : NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors in Universities/Colleges/Institutions? Provided however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations,2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
No. of Posts:Out of 23 posts, 19 posts are reserved for APST candidates of which 2(two)) posts are reserved for PWD candidates. The category of disability for the post is Orthopaedically disabled and 4 posts unreserved (for open competition).
How to Apply:Interested candidate may apply in the prescribed format along with 2(two) copies of recent pass-port size photographs with self attestation in the front side.(iii) Attested copies of certificates and Marksheets right from Class-X onwards up to PG level including P.G. Mark-sheet issued by the Assistant Registrar/Registrar/Controller of Examination/Vice-Chancellor of the concerned University to ascertain educational qualification.(iv) Attested copy of Matriculation Certificate for proof of age issued by the Board/University only will be accepted.(v). Attested copy of APST certificate.(VI). Attested copy of PRC in case of General Candidates.(vii) All the supporting documents submitted by the candidates including NET/SLET/SET/Ph.D must be attested by a Gazetted Officer with proper designation, name, seal and signature of attesting officer otherwise the application will be rejected.The last date for receipt of application form by the Commission is up to 04.08.2011. Application in the prescribed form along with necessary documents should reach this Commission in a Cover/Envelope superscribed “Application for the post of Assistant Professor”.
